It is my great pleasure to welcome you to The British School of Malaga, where learning is innovative, aspirations are raised and lives are transformed. Students leave our school as more well-rounded individuals through a personalised learning experience.

Our school is one of ‘core values’ and one of ‘family’. Our slogan, ‘Growing our Futures Together’, says much and is palpable within these walls. We truly have a learning community where everyone, the students, the teachers, ancillary staff and parents are all learning and ‘getting better’.

We truly believe that learning is only possible when students feel happy, safe and curious. It is our job as teachers to ignite that passion for learning. Structuring learning in a way that is purposeful, reflects the modern world, and offers our students the best chance of exam success, is fundamental to our approach at The British School of Malaga.

Our core values underpin everything we do, so that our whole school community thrives as a centre of learning in the heart of Malaga. Our ethos is based on respect for ourselves and others, as well as for our learning environment. We firmly believe that through the learning they experience in BSM and our core values, our students leave BSM as confident young people ready for this ever-changing world.

We attach great importance to developing opportunities that provide a range of cultural, social and creative experiences for students to discover, which, in turn, allow them to develop new interests. Why choose us?

The British School of Málaga was established in 2000 to provide a British education for students in and around Málaga, and to this day we are the only British all-through school in the city of Málaga. In June 2018 we joined the International Schools Partnership, a worldwide group of schools with a shared focus on getting the very best for our students and providing amazing learning opportunities that allow them to grow and amaze themselves.

We offer a British education in an international environment that is complemented with Spanish studies. Our bicultural curriculum creates more opportunities for our students to learn, giving them more options when they leave. We are proud of how we develop personalised learning experiences for every young person and not just a one fits all approach. Our students learn to be motivated and confident in the pathway they are travelling and, as a result leave The British School of Málaga as happy, aspirational, independent and successful individuals.

Our Vision

Core Values

We have 4 core values that are central to becoming a happy and successful life-long learner.

Your child will learn skills for life through the development of our core values (creativity, aspiration, resilience and care). The combination of the initials forms the acronym CARE. We have formed the slogan ‘We CARE’ as a result.
