SIXTH FORM
The stage equivalent to the Baccalaureate is in our school the traditionally called Sixth Form, the KS5 stage or simply A Levels. This stage comprises Year 12 and Year 13, which are studied as a unitary two-year programme.
In the British system, the stage leads to obtaining A Levels, which are official exams and the essential requirement to enter British universities, as well as valid to apply for a place at any international university.
At KS5 level, students must demonstrate great autonomy and organization in their studies. They have the support and guidance of their teachers, as well as coordinators in charge of university orientation, but ultimately they are free to choose the subjects that best suit their academic and professional future.
Students at The British School of Málaga complete their A Levels studies with subjects from the Spanish system, which allows them direct access to Spanish universities, both public and private.
In Baccalaureate, students who speak Spanish study Spanish Language and Literature. Although it is not an essential requirement for admission to Spanish universities, the school considers that it is a highly recommended subject for the development of our students.
To gain access to Spanish universities with all the options and maximum grade possibilities, students also take two Baccalaureate subjects that they prepare at school.

- Fundamentals of Art
- History of art
- Maths
- Applied mathematics
- Chemistry
This combination of British curriculum plus Spanish subjects leads to obtaining the ESO and Baccalaureate qualifications along with British qualifications.
